and to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one.

God sanctifies our life’s work.

  • It’s okay to work quietly at your life’s work.
  • It’s okay to mind your own business.
  • It’s okay to work with your own hands.
  • So that your gospel witness will be proper.
  • So we do not mooch off of others.
