Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20, ESV)
We take seriously Jesus’ command to make disciples of all nations, and involvement in global missions is a priority at Grace. We believe that “missions exists because worship doesn’t” (John Piper, Let the Nations Be Glad) and that the ultimate goal of missions is to see God’s name glorified among every people group on the planet.
Some of the ways we are involved in missions are:
- Budgeted missionary support (we do not list the names of our missionaries for security purposes)
- Short-term mission trips
- Involvement with the Perspectives on the World Christian Movement class
- “Church Dispersed Sunday” – we closed our doors and met in homes to observe the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Our entire offering that Sunday went to fund missions in persecuted church areas.
- Christmas Eve missions offering
