Foundations of Grace Community Church

Salvation: Our desire is to lead men and women into a relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ. God created Adam and Eve to walk with Him in intimate fellowship. But Adam disobeyed God, and brought sin (a nature to rebel against and disobey God) and death to the whole human race. Each of us falls short of God’s goodness and deserves eternal death and separation from Him in hell. But God so loved the world that He sent His only Son, that everyone who believes in Him would not die eternally, but have everlasting life. To accomplish this, Jesus died on a cross for sinners, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring us to God. This salvation is for anyone who will repent (turn away from sin) and believe in (turn toward and trust) the Lord Jesus Christ. To believe is to not only accept that what the Bible says about Jesus is true, but to trust in Him as the Lord and Savior of your life. Discipleship: Discipleship is the heartbeat of our relationship with God. To be a disciple is to continually deepen in our relationship to Jesus Christ. As we abide in Him (remain connected) through such things as worship, fellowship, prayer and the scripture, we abound more and more in Christ-likeness. This abiding and abounding in Christ brings glory to God and fills us with immeasurable joy.
